Finance Officer, Gallery, London, Temporary, £16.50 – £17.50 an hour plus holiday pay accrual
Our client, a gallery in London, requires a Finance Officer to join their Operations team ASAP. The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining records and supporting financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensuring invoices are correctly coded and authorized
- Reconciling suppliers' statements and reviewing aged creditors reports
- Managing daily correspondence with suppliers regarding invoices and payments
- Posting monthly expenditure accruals and prepayment journals
- Assisting with year-end audits
- Overseeing banking of cheques, cash collections, and petty cash management
- Supporting the preparation of donations and cash flow management
Requirements:
- Experience working within accounts
- Experience using Access Dimensions or a similar accounting package
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in delivering excellent customer service
- Aptitude to work on own initiative and as a member of a small team
- Data entry skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and flexible attitude with strong time management and organizational abilities
