Personal Assistant

 Central London Hourly Rate: £16.80 Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week Contract Type: Temporary – 1 Month

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to support a senior leader within a prominent cultural institution. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a skilled PA with experience supporting at executive level in fast-paced, public-facing environments.

The Role

 In this temporary position, you will provide comprehensive diary, meeting and administrative support to a senior director. Acting as the first point of contact, you will handle confidential communications, liaise with high-level internal and external stakeholders, and manage logistics with precision and professionalism.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include organising meetings, preparing agendas and papers, booking travel, managing correspondence, and supporting operational planning across key programmes and partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Complex diary and inbox management
  • Scheduling internal and external meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
  • Booking travel and accommodation; preparing itineraries
  • Drafting formal correspondence and handling enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate administrative records and filing systems
  • Supporting the coordination of committees and working groups
  • Liaising with colleagues and external contacts to support smooth operations
  • Processing expenses and maintaining budget tracking documents

 

About You

You are a confident and experienced PA who thrives in a busy environment. You’re able to work with discretion, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a PA or EA at senior level
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working independently and using your initiative
  • Professional, friendly, and responsive attitude

 Desirable:

  • Experience in the arts, education, public sector, or non-profit environments
  • Familiarity with coordinating meetings, travel, and event logistics
