Database Manager

Museum, Central London, temp till the end of March 2026 with a possible extension,
c.£17.00 per hour plus holiday accrual 40 hours per week, hybrid.

Leading, renowned Museum in Central London needs highly skilled Database Manager for an interim temp role until the end of March initially with a possible extension. The organisation is embarking on a significant cultural redevelopment project. Using Raiser’s Edge you will ensure data accuracy, and that information produced is up-to-date and accurate. You will work with a complex database and integrations and work with colleagues to ensure that systems are fit for purpose and ready for the campaign.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accuracy and security of donor and membership data, identifying areas of improvement, innovation and cleaning priorities
Implement processes as needed
Work closely with the Information Services department, security groups and system improvements and upgrades
Support Membership Services on system improvements and ensure the delivery of excellent stewardship, accurate data, and insightful reporting for the Membership Programme
Work closely with the key stakeholders to implement effective systems and procedures for ensuring data quality and data selections
Deliver key data processes, including managing mailing lists, Gift Aid claims, income processing, pulling data for budgeting and communications, and generating accurate financial and non-financial reports
Develop and deliver training and support to staff across the Museum, ensuring proficiency in using Raiser’s Edge for fundraising, membership and event activities
Work closely with the HoD, other connected HoD’s, Stakeholders and the wider teams including Membership, Information Services, IT and Suppliers

You will:

Have an understanding of different forms of charitable and tax efficient giving; understanding of data protection legislation and best practice. To ensure that all procedures are conducted in accordance with industry standards, e.g. Direct Debit Guarantee and fundraising regulations
Be able to prioritise a number of competing responsibilities and stakeholders
Have knowledge of CRM systems for fundraising purposes, plus direct debit processing / tools
Be an Advanced user of Excel for helping process data, mailing lists etc.
Be a confident Raiser’s Edge user, preferably RE7. If you have knowledge of Power BI that would be an advantage but not essential
