Anna has spent the last 20 years working in the military charity sector, founding and leading two charities focused on improving the wellbeing of serving personnel and veterans using the green environment. The first charity offered horticultural therapy in walled gardens and later expanded through a pilot programme at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court in 2013, funded by the late Duke of Westminster and the Army Benevolent Fund.
Anna went on to establish HighGround, which continues to deliver horticultural therapy at DMRC Stanford Hall. Having held both executive (CEO) and non-executive (Trustee) roles, Anna brings deep experience of governance, strategy, stakeholder management and values-led leaders.
As Senior Board Adviser at Val Wade Recruitment, Anna supports the agency with long-term strategy, governance and social impact – helping to strengthen our decision-making, keep us accountable to our values, and ensure we continue to serve clients and candidates with integrity.
