Senior Solicitor/Head of Property, North West London, Permanent, £60-65k plus substantial bonus
Our client, a Legal Services Company in North West London, requires a Senior Solicitor/Head of Department Property to lead the Property team. You will have extensive experience in Residential, and Commercial Property Law and supervisory skills. This role will be in the office 5 days per week initially with a view to becoming hybrid. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee your own case load in residential conveyancing
- Provide expert legal advice tailored to individual client needs
- Draft clear and concise legal documents and advice notes
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high performance
- Lead business development initiatives to generate new clients and opportunities
- Represent the firm at networking and business development events
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and needs
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s quality policies and CQS standards
- Achieve agreed financial and billing targets set by the Partners
- Conduct performance reviews and support the development of team members
- Promote the services of other departments to existing clients
- Share knowledge and best practices within the team and the firm
- Stay current with legal developments and comply with CPD requirements
- Prepare and deliver training sessions for junior staff and new recruits
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate
- Extensive experience in residential conveyancing; commercial conveyancing experience is desirable
- Proven track record in managing a team and driving performance
- Strong business development skills with a focus on client acquisition and retention
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and advice
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in office IT applications and legal software
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Understanding of financial management and billing processes
- Knowledge of compliance standards, including SRA Accounts Rules
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development (CPD)
